We were always told to cook the straw in the oven to get rid of the bugs. The other problem is that if you lace in a damp atmosphere, as can happen if you are demonstrating in halls or churches that when you put your pillow into a warm car or it's cover by the time you get home it may have started to go mouldy! This did happen to someone when lacing in a damp church in The Fen country. Sheila in ,yes, sunny Sawbo' so off to see the 2nd. largest brick contstruction in England.
