Dear All -- Today's (Tuesday) Wall St. Journal has a front-page
article about "needle lace" being made at present in India. "...a
particularly difficult technique, following a fine pattern by pulling
needle and thread through layers of cloth. When the design is
finished, the pattern and cloth are pulled away, leaving a delicate
piece of lace."
This doesn't describe any needle-lace technique that I know of. Does
anybody have any knowledge of such a lace? or is it just a somewhat
clumsy way of describing the needle-lace technique that we are
