Hello all, This is just to let you know that the next Lace and Textile Day at the Clay Cross Adult Education Centre, Clay Cross, Derbyshire is on 11th March 2006. There will be many trade stands which will provide all your Lace-making needs, ie, threads, pins, pillows, patterns, books, bobbins (possibly a demonstration but I'm not sure about this), etc, etc. There are also two afternoon working demonstrations in which you can take part if you book previously with the Centre Reception - one is embroidery (Rowendean I think - sorry to Jane and Christine but I haven't got the leaflet in front of me whilst writing this), and the other is Japanese Quilting. Both are well worth looking at and trying (for a small fee) but I know that booking is essential so please get on to the Centre if you are interested. Both are taking place at the same time so the choice is up to you. I know from past experience that this is a great day for all enthusiasts and those of you who might just be "wondering" about making lace the traditional way, so I am sure that one will be as good or even better, so please come along if you can and help to make it an even bigger success than last year. Lastly, thanks to all who are working hard to make this day possible, ie, Jane and Christine and all staff at the Centre. Looking forward to spending my money and learning new things again. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Babs Short (Learning Lacemaker)
