Right now, I'd sift cornstarch all over to draw up the oils in the lipstick and 
keep it from sinking in more.  It can be vacuumed off when you are ready to 
deal with the stain.  Also vacuums it off and put on new when it's been on long 
enough for the bottom layer to have gotten dirty.

They are cute -- but, alas, the expensive body powder on her hair and clothes 
didn't show up in the photograph.  
(She has children in college now; my how time flies.)
