Jenny B. - There are many names for the same thing, in lacemaking, due to it evolving in various parts of the world - Take Workers - or Walkers, Weavers, lLeaders or Runners - 5 names for the same thing - the pair that works along a row, and back again!!!!!!!

Some people call CTC a whole Stitch, some call CTCT a whole stitch!!
I was taught to call CTCT a double half stitch!

It gets more confusing the more you look into it!!!!!!!!! :)

At least we have now standardized the Cross and the Twist - so we all know a Cross is to the Right, and the Twist is to the left.

Just "Go with the Flow" and use whichever term you have learned, and stick to it, - otherwise you will get too confused.
