Last week I went to South Carolina on a business trip with DH which was supposed to be a relaxing time for me. First our suitcase disappeared and we eventually think it went to New Orleans rather than Charlotte. We drove to Myrtle Beach in a new Taurus which would not start for me the second day. I was due to meet Arachne Helene Dowler for lunch but my cell phone battery was failing and, of course, the charger was in the missing suitcase. We played telephone tag all morning. Another car was delivered to the hotel and this one did start, but Helene had to run an emergency errand for a friend. We finally did meet up when I realised that we were waiting at different exits to the hotel. My photos, gift and patterns were, of course, in the suitcase so we could only talk about lace. I mailed them on to her when the case finally turned up. Our case arrived two days later and we will be putting in a claim on our travel insurance. The airline told us all we could get from the m would be $25! I spent over $80 on toiletries and undies for the both of us and that was shopping at KMart! If there are any other lurkers down in her area, I am sure Helene would like to meet up with you as she is starved of lace contact in South Carolina. When I got my saved mail I looked though my IOLI Bulletin and it was nice to see Caroline in Spain and a pattern of a Vietnamese Junk designed by my friend Sylvie Nyguen. Still have to spend some time reading the articles though.
