Dear Martina,

I met the American owner of The French Needle last Summer, and purchased
quite a few French needlework books from her.

To purchase individual charts is quite costly. If you want to cross stitch
the laces on linen, it might be less expensive in the long run to purchase the
book "Dentelles Rubans" by Anne Van Damme, published by Mango Pratique
(France), 2003, ISBN 2-84270-415-0. It is a 64-page hardback book about the
size of
the Mick Fouriscot series. There are many charts shown in color, and I paid
about $28 U.S., to which you'd have to add postage and any sales taxes. For
you, Martina, it would be much easier to buy from a European book supplier.
Truly a beautiful book, from which you could adapt projects for your local lace
or embroidery group.

The author is Belgian, I was told.
