Hello Lacemakers All, I just want to take a moment to thank all of you who have eMailed me - it has been a traumatic time, especially as my sister Linda's death came so quickly after my Dad's stroke, but thankfully, although both he and Mum are absolutely devastated, Dad is making a good recovery from the stroke.
Linda's funeral was on Wednesday, and today is her birthday, so we are all bearing close resemblances to watering-pots still! But - she had a most awful condition called Multiple System Atrophy, which is similar to MS - the neural systems close down, and she was already in a wheelchair, and unable to speak very well, so we are all thankful to God that she is now spared all the awful things which can end the lives of those suffering from MSA. She also saw the birth of her grand-daughter Connie, who is now 27 months, and Lottie, who is just eight weeks old - and her elder daughter's second baby is due at the end of June - although Linda won't see her in the flesh, I am sure she'll be looking after her when she arrives! Anyway - thank you again for all the messages - they have been a great comfort in this sad time.
