Couldn't agree more - it in my opinion. There's nothing that looks particularly special.

I'd say the 56 wooden ones would be one to three GBP each - maximum 100 pounds the lot. Remember that on one of the antques programmes, they couldn't even get one pound each for old wooden bobbins. Then the bone ones - about a dozen would fetch ten to fifteen pounds each, a few maybe twenty pounds - say 200 - 250 pounds. The remaining two dozen about 5 pounds each on a very good day - another 120 pounds. That's 420 - 470 pounds maximum I'd say. But the final price was over one thousand pounds - definitely wouldn't have thought they were worth that.

What a good day the seller had!
