Beautiful gown Robyn. Hopefully, one day you can let us see a pic of that gold lace. It looks so lovely on your gown.

At the last Ren fair I went to, there was an awesome bobbin lace dem. On a table was a giant cookie pillow. On each of the 4 sides, were 4 of the court "princesses" in their gowns learning to bobbin lace. They all worked on the same pattern, and their instructor revolved around the table and the pillow to encourage and teach. It was a lovely sight to see the 4 beautiful young ladies in their gowns, heads bent over their work. They all looked so relaxed and unruffled. It was truely a picture from the past.

It was a whole different feel to see a lace demo where the lacers face each other in a circle rather than spread out along a table all facing the same direction as we do at our Guild demos.

What I'm up to? DH is going away for a fishing week-end with his Dad, so beginning tonight I have the whole week-end to myself! I'm going to be working on the Brugge Bloemwork mat that I want to enter in the State Fair. I'm finishing the first of 3 scrolls which leaves 2 scrolls and the braid and pico background and it will be done!!!

When that's finished I'll be working on a Princess Lace mat, also for the State Fair.
