Hi Bobbin Lacemakers,
Many of you may already know I'm running a campaign to choose a "Tatting
Mascot". Have been running this for a number of months. Getting
nominations and holding a primary vote to choose the top three choices. The
top three vote getters were the "Dragonfly", "Puss-n-Boots" and the
"Spider". I've gotten some e-mails saying the "Spider" belongs to Arachne
and the Bobbin Lace Makers that it should not be used for the Tatters. Yes,
it has been yours for many years. But, it was nominated and when the
nominations were posted no one objected to it until it was among the
finalists. At this point in time it cannot be removed from the running, as
was suggested by a few. All I can suggest is that you get out and vote for
your choice, or a choice for the Tatters. The final voting will take place
shortly.
I am both a Tatter and Lace Maker. So I do understand how some of you feel.
But I am trying to run a fair vote.
