Cinderella (Tamara), I hope your ankle recovers real soon, how lovely that you wanted to "run home" to DH ;o). You crack me up!! A good excuse to stay at
your lace pillow for a few days while recovering.

Alas! Sitting at the pillow requires that my bad foot joins the good one on the floor (no room under my lace table to lif it up) and it doesn't seem to like that position at the moment. I spent most of the day in bed, resting the foot and reading Ulrike Voelcker's "Stil-Blüten", so my day was somewhat lacy anyway. It's a wonderful book, with some very intriguing "tricks" -- quite different from the ones I learnt in the Polychrome class I took from Pompi Parry a couple of years ago. It is one of the things that makes learning lacemaking an endlessly joyful and exciting "trip": even within the same lace technique, different teachers find different puzzles and different solutions to them.
