Hi everyone After weeks (or so it seems) of the lace hovering at the 87 cm. mark I put in a few pins since returning from the Pacific conference, measured this morning and realized I only had two pattern repeats to go. Today was also one of the warmest of the year, and I took the lace operation out doors. Indeed it was nearly too hot to lace, as the day wore on. I then wondered if it would matter a whole lot if the length wasn't exactly a metre. It was too tempting to cut it off. I compromised and worked to a logical stopping point, along a horizontal row, and *then* cut it off. V. satisfying :) Now I'm going to work a small motif on a small pillow that requires just 6 pairs and can be completed in an afternoon :)) Thank you to everyone who offered company in working on lengthy laces, too - I hope others have reached their goal? I posted about the garter at my blog, addy below. -- Bev in Sooke BC (on Vancouver Island, west coast of Canada) Cdn. floral bobbins www.woodhavenbobbins.com blogging lace at www.looonglace.blogspot.com
