I am so excited about gaining a 2nd place. This was my first ever entry to
an IOLI competition, so I am Very Happy!!!!!!!!! :))
I entered 2 pieces, - the other one being a Burato Lace runner with Wattle
sprays on it - in Green and Yellow of course!!
I have only been making filet/burato lace for a year - I bought the
Filet-Lace-by-the-Sea book while at Denver, and adapted this pattern from a
mat design by Margaret Morgan that was in Australian Lace.
I only entered 2 pieces. The Other Australian piece was by Rochelle, and it
was Ineligible due to her missing the closing date - by about one day, I
think! Which was a great pity.
Now we must start thinking of designs for Next year! :)
