I have a class next weekend, and I need DMC Cordonnet Special 60, or
Bockens 40/2 or 50/2, or BOUC 50/2 or 60. I have discovered that I do
not have these threads in my stash, can anyone please help me with
equivalent thread.
According to Brenda's book, all of the above threads are in the 23-25
wraps per cm range. While there are lots of threads in the same range,
among the better known ones you also have:
23 wraps: Bockenss 60/3, Campbell 80/2, DMC Cordonnet 50, Coats
Marceriseder Crochet 40, Egyptian gassed cotton 24/3, DMC Fil Fleur,
Presencia Finca perle 16
24 wraps: DMC Lin pour Dentelles 40, Coats Merceriseder Crochet 50,
DMC Broder Special 35
25 wraps:Fresia 60/2, DMC Broder special 40, single strands of the
following embroidery threads (cotton): DMC, Anchor, Mez and Madeira,
Presencia Fincrochet Tex 19/3 No 50.
Perhaps one of those will either turn up in your stash or will be easy
to get (I'd think the stranded cottons, myself)
