For any and all who couldn't get to Montreal, let me suggest that you go to <http://www.dentellieres.com/Reportage/R2006/Montreal/> for a complete report on everything that happened there. You can get some of that site in English, but not the report on the convention. However, the pictures tell all, and be sure to check "detail" to see what everyone was working on.

I was able to understand about one in every three words. And *all 3* in "fermer cette fenĂȘtre! <g> Which was rather strange, since my understanding of "fenĂȘtre" comes from English "defenestration" (all those mysteries <g>) and, at first, I couldn't see the connection to the puter-world. And, from some distant memory of viewing another French-language site, I knew to click "Suite" to move to the next page; I feel very proud of myself and my navigational skills :)

Many thanks, Tess, for sending the URL; it brought back wonderful memories of friends old and new. I was especially excited to see my room-mates (page 17, coctail hour detail), even if all that could be seen of one of them was the back dressed in a beautiful lace collar. Sure beats looking at the backs dressed in dinner napkins to fend off the cold :)

Yours, in rainy Lexington, where due to the weather I did not go to the Labor Day Parade, and therefore did not deliver a bunch of bananas to our beloved Senator Macaca (Macacque, for the French-speakers), who's stumping for re-election, as I'd planned; it's sad to admit that I'm, literally, a fair-weather friend... :(
