subscription process between US/Canadian and European magazines. I think it is useful for all of us to know the standard for the magazine
Based on my experience of sending subscription money as of December of last year, my payment was applied to the next year, rather than the current year, as we might have done in North America. That being said, I don't know at which point after March 1 that the above applies. Getting the subscription was a whim, and I acted on it ;) I am thinking that after the last issue of the current subscription year I will receive a subscription renewal, will have to wait and see. In another experience subscribing to a lace magazine from Europe - the kind folks at La Encajera ask at which issue we would like to start the subscription, and take it a 'year' from there, at which point they send a renewal form. Most of the other lace magazines are bulletins or newsletters for organizations, and therefore are part of a membership for the individual. The membership parameters would determine when you receive the magazine, and how many back or future issues, as applicable.
