Hi Edith !
Lucky daughter! There is so much to see and do in Washington that she
probably will run out of time! If she is a lacemaker, she should not
miss the Smithsonian Museum. They have a special day when the lace
collection may be seen, with knowledgeable docents to help. The DAR
museum also has a fine lace collection. Whatever her interests, there
is probably a museum there which will appeal to her!
Hotels have guidebooks in every room, and she will not have trouble
finding interesting places to go. I recommend that she spend some time
on the internet, exploring the offerings in areas of her own interests.

I wonder if some US spiders can offer any advice? My daughter will

Washington DC in January, and hopes to have time to look round some
interesting places. Can any of you suggest 'not to be missed' places,
well
known or not, that she can put on her list?
She will be there for several weeks, and free in the day, while her
husband is training. She doesn't drive
Many thanks
