This is just a note to let Barb Saltern's friends in the Liberty Lacers
know that we met Barb and Ken in Christchurch (NZ) last night, along with
the local Lace Society President, Eleanor, and had a lovely evening with them.
They have had a flying trip around New Zealand, and the spring weather has
been very kind to them, even providing a little bit of snow as they
travelled through our mountains!
Today they are touring Christchurch and its environs, and fly to Australia
tomorrow.
It sounds like a wonderful holiday, and they are really enjoying it! It
was a great thrill to be able to meet and chat to them, and offer a (very)
few hints of lacey things to see. Both Eleanor and I have been lucky
enough to see the lace in the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, and so that is a
must for Barb's Sydney visit.
