So, I'm offering up some of the duplicates in a raffle.

Be careful with those duplicates :)

Several years ago, when the embroidered Swiss "lace" stamp was issued, I wrote to my "Swiss connection" and she bought a whole lot of them for me. I then kept one and raffled off the rest -- some 20 in all.

The other day, I needed to check something in my collection, and the Swiss stamp *wasn't there*. An Italian one -- issued later but made using the same technique -- was in its slot, but not the Swiss one. Total panic! :)

Finally, I did find the Swiss one -- it slipped and hid behind a stack of (non-textile) albums -- but, in the future, I'll keep more than one, especially if it's unique (or pretty much so)
