Dear Agnes and others interested,

The Lace Guild's bulletins always list varous fairs and other events into the
future. I hope you who are in the U.K. belong to this excellent organization
(which is a registered charity and a registered museum) and get this
publication, because it is excellent.

The bulletins run to over 60 pages, have some color photography, and there
are always reports on lace days, courses offered by various groups, exhibition
notices, long letters that are interesting and illustrated from members,
educational articles (including by members of Arachne), several pages of book
reviews, patterns and prickings and pictures of finished laces, and
advertisements
that help you find people who provide supplies in the U.K.

One of the better events for me each year is the early morning telephone call
(in late Summer) to The Lace Guild staff to renew membership for yet another
year and to place orders for commemorative bobbins and The Lace Guild's annual
calendar (to give as gifts to special friends). I do not like to send credit
card info, and really love having a brief once-a-year chat.
