Another possibility is to post the files on your website,

Alas and alack... It's a possibility for *some*, but not for me... :) My notes on how to upload to the website did not survive the several upgrades of the browser which "rules" the same; they don't work no more. And Christmas was spent not taking notes for this new situation vis website but trying to learn how to operate the new toy (copier/scanner/printer)... There's but so much time left for puter-improvement, after lacemaking and cooking (and other nasty household stuff) is taken care of. Besides, it appears that 30yr-old sons aren't very tolerant of mothers who won't/can't learn/understand all this techie stuff; he doesn't approve of my trying to learn every situation from scratch, as if it were something new (and reminding him that *he* used to try to memorise every possible addition and multiplication problem doesn't cut any ice with him; "Mama, I was 5yrs old then", he says)...

better yet, give the museum
permission to do the same on *their* website and let *them*
do the work.

I may try doing that but, so far as I know, the most dedicated volunteers there have as much 'puter savvy as I do :) And the ones who're puter-savvy, don't have the time to be fiddling with the book (and certainly, they wouldn't want to until all the hard copies sold, would they?)

Another possibility is Lulu.com

I couldn't even understand all you said about Lulu, never mind trying to "publish" through them... And, quite frankly, I'd rather spend the 20hrs or more it would take me to learn (and more to adjust everything I was taught to a MacOSX; somehow, everyone assumes the world has only Windows <g>) making lace... :) Fiddling with 'puters isn't "my thing" -- designing and making lace is :)

I was overwhelmed by the number of people who signed up for the raffle, but requests for individual patterns are coming in as a trickle; entirely "doable". I'll stick with what I know...
