Hi there all,
Someone commented that they are feeling at a loss because they only have
three pillows on the go!! I am the opposite I am afraid!! Sometime ago I
cleared my pillows and vowed to only have two on the go at a time, now I am
up to three and feeling guilty that I have let my resolution down! On one
pillow is a long term project, a tablecloth for my daughter, another has a
piece of tonder which has not been finished because I started my first piece
of Binche at a weekend we held with another lace group! The Binche is
nearly done and I will be looking for another pattern to get started on.
Clay commented that she is doing a hearts pattern in Binche and it made me
think, where do we get nice pattrns of Binche and Valenciennes? I do have
the Binche Syllabus folders and there are some nice patterns in there, but
on the whole we are finding getting patterns for these two laces is not
easy! Any help would be appreciated.
This weekend we are hosting lacemakers from the Hawkes Bay and Wellington
groups in a get together. Just a couple of days of chat and making lace, no
tutoring! It looks like being a hot and sunny few days so we are all
looking forward to this very much!
