Having just proof read April's Lace, it suddenly dawned on me that having a baby (granddaughter) in the house makes you forget things - like getting the details of this year's lace day to Deborah in time for it to be included in the magazine! Eeeks!
So, for anyone likely to be in the UK on Saturday June 2nd, these are the details: Date and time: Saturday June 2nd, 10am-4pm Venue: Shuttington & Alvecote Village Hall, near Tamworth - same place as last year and the year before. Suppliers: Makit (general lace & embroidery supplies), Chris Parsons (bobbins) and Tatting & Design (tatting supplies). Optional Workshops: "Learn Tatting" with Rosemarie Peel (morning) and Tatting with Lyn Morton (afternoon). Tickets: £3.50 if I receive your request and payment by 25th May, £4.00 after that date. There will be a small extra charge for the workshops, payable on the day. Workshop details will be sent with tickets. Proceeds: to St Giles Hospice. Although the workshops are both for tatters, all lacemakers are welcome - bring your pillows, needles, hooks or whatever. There is plenty of parking space, and there will probably be whippet racing on the field outside during the afternoon - it has happened the last two years. You will need to bring a packed lunch; drinks will be available. If you are interested, email me and I'll let you have the address to send to. -- Jane Partridge - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
