Hi, That reminds me of my latest lace projects. A while ago there was a discussion on the list about what everybody is doing, and I couldn't participate because I thought I wasn't doing anything, and have not done anyhing lacy for a while. But actually, I have. I have been making sewing machine lace. It's made on water-soluble material.
My first sewing machine lace project was a set of corals that I applied to an embroidery project. My 2½ years old daughter loves tropical fish and I made this aquarium "fabric painting" for her. The fish and the water were made of multiple layers of organza on background material and machine sewing. My latest sewing machine lace project was a guardian angel. The angel was made of organza and the background was sewing machine lace. There was no background material, beacuse it was meant to be a decorative object on the window. It was for my little girl, too :-) I like sewing machine lace because it's quick and you can use your creativity and many colors. Next I would like to start a bit more traditional project in bobbin lace. I'm looking for a handkerchief lace pattern, because my mother will have her 60th birthday in couple of years. I made her a lace handkerchief 15 years ago and I think she would like a new one. -Maria B Finland 2007/3/17, [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Hi all, This is non-lace, but interesting so will send to both lists. I haven't been keeping close tabs on the lists lately, so if someone else has mentioned this sight before please forgive a repeat. My sister sent this to me because if my many fiber interests. Those who like math and crochet will especially appreciate it, but if you like sea life you might enjoy it too. It is really interesting. I was reading the blurb beside the picture before I looked at the picture to see what it really was...
