I hope the kit gets used for adults, too - I find that once you have got
the kids to have a go, it is reasonably easy to persuade the suddenly
very shy father to have a go, too - especially as the kids help in
egging him on, and then showing him how to do it - the mothers are
sometimes harder to persuade than the men! 

So often we aim everything at the children, who these days have very
little time to spare between school work and friends, and totally forget
that the ones with time, money and ambition to learn are the newest
additions to the pensioner age group! 

(The piece currently on my pillow - one of the Retournac patterns - had
a five year old working a bit of it at a demo on Sunday - I don't take a
separate have a go pillow, I show them the relevant stitch in the lace I
am working on, and let them do that).
