Thank you to the people who responded to my enquiry regarding laminating. As the lace is fine Bucks I think it would be better enclosed in some way, having used sleeves in the past but found that the lace tends to move about I wondered if laminating would hold it firm. As yet I am undecided - ho hum!!

Norah is a very interesting lady, having written and published story books and poetry. Every year she would design and paint her own Christmas card and write an appropriate verse, even now she uses a card supplier and has her verse added. At least one of her ancestors was a lacemaker and she inherited a few bobbins and pieces of lace which are now in the collection of a small local museum. As a child I was taught by both her and her husband who died a number of years ago.
