If you have Practical Skills the apple blossom picots are described on pag
101 and 102. There is more to the crossing than making a windmill, in order
that the plaits and picots arrangement looks snug.
oh my, I just looked at the illustration on the following page (6a of pg.
104) which is a double apple blossom = 8 picots and a space in the middle -
the plaits go around rather than cross this space. Interesting, I must try
that some time.

The subject takes me back a few years to the beginnings of the Arachne lace
list, where I posted a question about these picots and how to do them, not
owning a PS at the time. I was helped greatly by Helen Bell and others still
on this list!

If you don't have a copy of PS, then I ought to try to make a sample and try
to write the method from memory, unless someone else can come to the rescue.
