Why is it that then you drop a bobbin it is never the cheap beginner's bobbin
lingering in your storage chest or the easy to replace wooden one or one you
simply don't like?? While winding bobbins this morning in preparation for
this weekend's North Carolina Regional Lacemaker's (NCRL) gathering in Chapel
Hill, NC, I dropped one of my favorite Midlands. It is a bone domino design
with a hinged spangle made to look like an individual die. Of course, the
head broke off!

Can anyone recommend a good bobbin maker who will take on a repair? I can
always start emailing the "usual suspects" but I would like to hear about
anyone who has done a particularly good job on a repair.

Grumble, grumble.

May your threads never tangle,
Cindy
