HI all For those waiting to hear of the next secret pals round, this would be it. I'm sorry I have not been able to organize the 'next' one until now (life can be so interfering!). I'll do what I can.
If you would like to take part, send me an e-mail. I will reply with the details. This time I will ask you if you want to go for 6 exchanges, or just try 3 this time. If we go 6, this round will end in December. If 3, it will end in September. Part of the reason I have waited to start the next one is the length of time it took to complete all the exchanges, and one or two faltered in the end. Then I thought having just 3 might be worth a try, so as not to overload personal schedules (travel etc.), and in light of increasing postage for parcels going air mail (or even within a country!). Let me know what you think. For those new to the idea, 'secret pals' is an exchange of prezzie-type parcels, one a month for 6 months ( or 3 if we go for a shorter round). You know who you are sending to, the sender is supposed to be secret to the recipient (if found out, it isn't a tragedy though). The exchange is set up so that A sends to B sends to C sends to A. An example of what to send - a bobbin or two, some thread, souvenirs from where you live; items of interest to your particular pal. When you reply to a 'form' I send you, you tell me (the coordinator) a few details about yourself, lace preferences, other hobbies etc. which I share with your sending pal. Not to be entered into lightly, yhe idea might sound like great fun - and it is - but you must be able to gather items, package them and send on time - at the beginning of each exchange month. Consider carefully your own situation about costs, getting to the post office, finding time to assemble the parcel etc., before agreeing to take part. -- Bev in Sooke BC (on beautiful Vancouver Island, west coast of Canada) - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
