If you go to <http://www.cs.arizona.edu/patterns/weaving/this- month.html> you will find the latest postings on the Professor's web site. Of particular interest to those who collect patterns and designs from the 15th and 16th centuries is the book by Rouveyre. It is a massive collection of those early patterns--woodcuts?--and although it is a French book, there is practically no text, so everyone can understand what is there. At the very end, there are a few portraits (in black and white) showing people in the costume of the time.

I must thank Josette once again for making it possible for us to have this remarkable book to scan.
