Sorry but we are speaking of two different events. That event held at
Camarinas is a different thing to that held in Catalunya Camarinas is not in
the Region of Catalunya where the coast is the Costa Brava. Camarinas is in
the region of Galicia on the Costa de Morte.
Jane Atkinson visited the Catalan lace day last April and it is that event
which I was writing about. Sorry if I confused you but I was under the
impression, from the above part of your message, that you were told it was
the Catalan Government that said it was not holding the event in the future
and it would seem that someone was confusing Camarinas with the Catalunya
Perhaps it is the Camarinas Town Council that can't afford to keep putting
on the event there, they are expensive things to run.
I will keep you posted about the Catalan event for next year as and when I
know more.

about the lace of this region. Go back to the main page and click on the

links, one of is for the 2007 lace day and following you links as you go you
can see fotos of different aspects of the event. You can use the link at
the bottom of the pages to turn the text to English, as is normal with
translation programmes, some of the English is not so correctly translated
but you can get the general idea of what is meant. It is a very nice site
of the whole area. I too would like to go there one year to the lace event
and to stay a few days as a tourist.
