Hello spiders
LibraryThing could be a great help for discussions on books. If members
would tag their books with beginners, it would easy to spot them. For now I
can only lead you to mine:
http://www.librarything.com/catalog.php?tag=beginners&view=kantelier
The baloons on the puppets show there are reviews and/or discussions on a
book, for example
http://www.librarything.com/work/2460611 respective
http://www.librarything.com/work-talk/426902
If someone has questions about a book, you don't need check your shelves
whether you have the book, through the touchstone mechanism, you can easily
check whether the book is in your catalog. Sign-in is simple, you don't need
to, but if you take the trouble to edit your profile you can find
LibraryThing in your own language. Even without cataloging your own books,
you can still jump into discussions and refer to books cataloged by others,
you can simply start or join a discussion on
http://www.librarything.nl/groups/lacemakersandcollect (or in other groups)
A good startingpoint to find lace books could be
http://www.librarything.com/tag/bobbin+lace via related tags, tagmashes and
subjects you can find other books.
