Hello Sue

I had problems getting my dot in the right place too. It couldn't find the village name (Allhallows) and when I tried Rochester it put the dot on the centre of Rochester, about 12 miles away, but then I tried using the postcode and now it's spot-on! Go back in and edit your profile.

Well I got it to within 30 miles of my home, so that will do, not that I would like to walk it:-) But I am on the map.

Hello Spiders!

I have just discovered that Lori Howe has added a new feature to her already incredible website! She has set up a "Buddy Map" for lacemakers! When you visit the map, you'll see a map of the world. Actually, you see two maps of the world. The top one allows you to explore various countries and see where the lace activity is (or was...) in each country, along with related pictures such as typical pillows and bobbins, and some of their lace. Very interesting.

The bottom map is the new addition! You click on that map and get a list of lacemakers around the world. If you select a country instead of the world, you'll see dots that represent individual lacemakers who have added themselves to the map! I added myself yesterday... and so far, the list is very short. But it will be really fun to see the dots multiply on the map!! You don't have to give a lot of information about yourself, but your name and city/state/country is important. I added a picture as well.

Go have a look! Lori's website is http://lace.lacefairy.com. From there, go to "International" on the menu bar, and "Map Search" is the first option on that pop-up menu. Click that, and then scroll down to the second map. Click that, and you'll see the map with dots! Please do add yourself!
