I haven't been to the buddy map, but it sure sounds like it was established by Americans. If you want to place yourself in the US, you specify detailed locality. But if you want to place yourself anywhere else in the world, country is good enough. Typical of one of the less endearing traits of many of my fellow country-people. Robin P.
