One of the ladies in the Monday group I attend did a talk with demonstration
to a group at her church. She used a flat surf board (body board) which had
black covering on one side standing upright for a pillow, dolly pegs with
heavy beads wired on for bobbins, cord for thread and needles, to which
she'd glued beads so they could be seen, for pins. During the talk she was
able to show the basic moves and afterwards she had a couple of large
pillows set up so any of the ladies who wanted to could have a go on a
normal sized pillows. Seemed to work very well.
