As Annette says, these pillows are not efficient to use at all, and I would think people would only want to buy them as a display item.
I have a modern made copy of an old lacemakers lamp with glass bowl and candle, but it's only for display. I have tried it at night to see how much light it gives. It's quite effective but nowhere near enough light for me to work by! I went to an auction sale here in rural Australia once on a farming property where there was a lot of collectable china for sale, and a Princess machine. It went for $Aust500 (over $US600) which I thought was crazy. The purchaser was a dear little old lady from another country town who made lace, and wanted it "for her collection" she said to me afterwards. She had travelled about 300 km each way just to go to the sale to bid for it.
