I can see that there are good points about both. With the CD there is the fact that it takes up almost no space (but would I lose it?) Just printing off the prickings would be great, no scanning or photocopying. But even if you could blow up the illustrations you can't use a magnifying glass on a screen and I like to have a good look. On the whole I think I prefer the book, there is something to get hold of and if you need to look at it while you're working it's there right beside you. I think that if you need to print off bits so that you can refer to them, well, you might as well buy a book. I work in an academic library and you would think that with all the computer resources, data bases, web sites etc that are now available we wouldn't be buying as many books, but that isn't the case. I don't think that there's anything to beat a book, but I guess I'm biased.
