As the list is quiet I take the occasion to tell you that next 9th.
Dec., will take place the annual Lace Day Event in l'Arboç
(Barcelona-Spain).
It is one of the 3 most important lace events in Catalunya.
This week I assisted to the commemoration of the twentieth anniversary
of the Catalonian Lace Guild.
It was an emotive action where the foundational members were invited
and honored with a commemorative pin. We all had too, the opportunity
to know
that in the Lace Museum of l'Arboç, the days 7th, to 9th. Dec. there
will be an interesting exhibition of jewels made with lace.
I was told that firstly, it is made a Roseground or Point de Paris
stitch lace sheet by the lacemaker and then the jeweler cuts little
bands or strips and frame them with a gold profile. I have seen nice
pendants, bracelets and rings in gold and white gold very very nice.
Of course I'll go, and if it is allowed I shall take some pictures to
share with you.
