Now here is the sign of a dedicated collector organizing a lace exhibition in
December.
2 months before installation she gets pneumonia. But the show must go on.
1 month before installation she falls and breaks her ankle. But the show must
go on.
3 weeks before installation she has surgery on the ankls. But the show must go
on.
The Enchanted Lacers and Los Alamos Embroidery Guild are coming to the rescue
to finish mounting the pieces because they know the show must go on.
One week before installation she is admitted for 3 days to ICU because of deep
vein thrombsis and massive pulmonary embolism (seems to have set a record for
the number of clots), and is cleaned out with heavy duty heparin, wayfarin, and
other nasty clot busting stuff that would do Draino pround. But the show must
go on.
Hold on. All her helpers are in open revolt. They demand, and the gallery has
agreed to a rescueduling of the exhibit for July.
So much for show business. Thank God for friends.
