Hi All, May I recommend that before you toss spools of thread, remove a "layer" or two of thread and test the thread again. I was working with 170/2 in a class on Honiton. It seemed that in the first Honiton sample, threads were breaking everywhere...but the next time I filled my bobbins, the threads were good and strong and very seldom broke. I have almost used the entire spool and no more breakages.
So test before you toss. You may toss out a few yards, but at least you will save the majority of the spool. "Never Assume!" Just a thought.
