Hi Janice -

I got this table before Christmas. The tilting part is about 15.5" X15.5" It
has a lip on the top and bottom which holds things more securely. I agree that
it probably isn't big enough for anything but the smallest pillow.

I haven't tried to use it for my pillows, but instead use it to hold my diagram
at a good readable angle, with assorted tools handy on the horizontal section.
The table only tilts to about 45 degrees, but that holds diagrams (and the odd
pencil or so...) nicely. The top will tilt in either direction, so you can
decide on which side of your work you prefer to use it, and whether the
horizontal part will be closer to you or farther away. Also, unlike the more
expensive tables that it resembles, this only adjusts to three heights, with a
screw to hold it in the chosen position.

So it's not a cadillac, but it's probably worth $18 and some change. The
wheels on the bottom are a nice touch too...

As for using it with a laptop... my DS was here shortly after I got it, and he
and his son used it to hold his laptop while they played a game on it... and
he remarked that he might go get one. Again, I've not used it that way, but it
is sturdy enough to hold a laptop.
