Dear Friends: While on a cruise this past week, I met a young woman from South Dakota and gave her some torchon lace lessons.? She is very interested in lacemaking.? We made a rib, cloth-stitch bandage and a sample of torchon ground, all with embroidery floss from her mother and my rosaline bobbins and a makeshift pillow.
Is there anyone out there that might know of a teacher or group for her?? She lives in Spearfish, South Dakota.? She is in her late twenties and is or has been working on a Master's Degree in teaching I think.? I hope some of you have got some suggestions or contacts that she might connect with.? I have promised to set her up with basic supplies:? pillow, bobbins, pins, book, thread.?
