Wetherall Lace are now based in Stapleford, just outside Nottingham where many
of the remaining lace manufacturers are based. Previously they were in the Lace
Market area of Nottingham which has now become very trendy for boutique hotels
and restuarants. So yes, your lace is genuine Nottingham Lace, which has always
been machine made, although there may have been bobbin lacemakers in Nottingham
it was never a recognised area.

  Gentle Spiders,
Some friends of mine returned from vacation and brought me a couple of small
lace goodies they bought at Hampton Court Palace. The sticker on one states:
Nottingham lace bookmark by Wetherall Lace, Nottingham". Looking at the lace,
I'm guessing machine made bobbin, but please tell me it was made in Nottingham
and not off-shore. I'm just tickled that someone sent me a present!!
