Thanks so much to Bev Walker and Tamara Duvall for your information on the pivot pin. I will print it all out and take it to my shop where I have my pillow set up.

The sad part of all of this is that I had the first end done and was halfway up the side when I got the idea in my head that what I had done was maybe not right and maybe I'd better ask for help. So - I don't think I'm going to retro-lace at this point, but continue
on and then try to do the other end using your suggestions.

As I look through the book at the other patterns, wouldn't ya know that this one is the ONLY one that is done this way. On the other patterns, the end is done with alternating pins towards the center - one going all the way to the center and the next one going maybe 3/4 of the way. Leave it to me to pick the one and only that I'm not sure about how to do it correctly! But, it is a learning experience and I'm glad for that. I will keep this
one as an example.
