Miriam, I don't quite know just what is happening there. I've tried the demo version, as have lots of others, and no-one has reported any problems with it.
The zooming in and out in RXP have now been linked with the scroll button on the mouse - which did take me a while to get used to .... I found everything slid all over the screen until I got the hang of not rubbing the scroll button as I did other tasks. The only problems I know about not showing the grid are linked with Toshiba brand laptops with Vista. Although some are OK, others apparently don't have sufficient screen-display programmes loaded on them to properly display the grid.
