Hi all, I see someone has replied to this question suggesting it may be something to do with BSE. I am aware that some countries have restrictions on the export of antiques and I wonder if this is what is being referred to in this case! I have brought antique bone bobbins back to New Zealand from the UK with no problems as an individual, but it could be that auction houses have to comply with some rules about exporting their items. Just a thought, Sue Fink in Masterton, New Zealand, where winter is now making us pay for a lovely long hot summer!!
