Years ago, on ebay, I bought 4 Beds "collars" which turned out to be
4 wide Beds handerchief edgings. I could have returned them, but
they were all made with the same pattern by 3 different lacemakers
and it was fascinating to see how each of them tackled the tricky
parts. It's very clear that one of them was a much better lacemaker
than the others.
