Thanks Jo

The map seems to work now, my marker has now moved house along with all my other possessions

And thanks to so many of you who said such lovely things about my wedding veil, I am quite overwhelmed.
In reply to several questions that were asked here are some "veil stats"

The veil was started 1977 - 78 and finished december 2007 so took 20 years. But not 20 yrs continuous work I had many other things on the go at the same time. It is made using Wigleys (don't know if the still supply lace thread) 120/2 cotton (bought as a box of 24 reels in 1977 and used nearly all of it) It is mounted on cotton net - again bought over 20 yrs ago - came from Heathcoates in Tiverton. (The net is a little heavier than I liked and at one time I did contemplate mounting it on silk tulle which is much finer but in the end I decided that cotton is safer - and it is beautifully soft) Mounted using a slip stitch through every pinhole - net was tacked to tissue first, then lace sewn onto net. Some of the net is cut away behind the lace to open it up a bit. Veil is approx 45 inches square and has linked hearts, flowers and bows along the edges, largeish flower sprays at 3 corners and a very large"bouquet" at the bottom corner which also has a horse shoe and bow with ribbons. There is also a small butterfly and a bee.
