Hi All thanks for the advise on this matter and sorry if I have asked a question you have covered in the past but I will soon catch up with you all.
I think I will try both ways on the cloak and see which looks the best my problem is that even though I can cross stitch etc I can't for the life of me sew a tidy line but maybe as I have put the effort into making the lace I will be more careful.
